Biography

HERATIKS are a DJ/producer duo from the South West of the UK, made up of Justin Krause and James Wiggans. With backgrounds spanning multiple electronic genres and scenes, the pair bring a broad, well-traveled perspective to modern dance music — one shaped as much by global club culture as by studio precision. Before joining forces, both Justin and James built individual careers playing across the UK and internationally. Their experience ranges from beach bars and club nights in Kavos, Ibiza, and Barcelona, to events in Thailand, and festival and club appearances across California, from Palm Desert and Hollywood to Newport Beach. Along the way, they explored a wide spectrum of styles — from house and trance to dubstep and breakbeat — under various aliases and projects. Now united as HERATIKS, the duo focus on high-energy tech, deep, and bass-driven house, designed squarely for the dancefloor. Their sound blends modern club pressure with a sense of groove and restraint, favoring movement and atmosphere over gimmicks. Their debut original release, “Drop Tha Spot,” marked a significant early statement. Signed to DT Weapons, the imprint of dance music media heavyweight Data Transmission, the track broke into the Traxsource Tech Charts, peaking at #22, earned BBC Introducing’s “Sound of the Weekend,” and gained playlist support across Spotify and beyond. The release also received widespread DJ support from a diverse range of respected names, including Fatboy Slim, Joris Voorn, AC Slater, Paco Osuna, Dennis Cruz, Steve Bug, and Richie Hawtin, with airplay and club rotation spanning Europe, North America, and Australia. Their latest release puts them on the forefront remixing a remake of  Alex Party’s  1994 classic ‘Read My Lips’. As performers, HERATIKS have built a reputation for sets that are dynamic, controlled, and purposeful — equally at home in intimate beach parties in Cornwall as they are on major club systems, including London’s Ministry of Sound. With multiple releases lined up across various labels and a growing international presence, the duo continue to gain momentum as a project rooted in craft, experience, and dancefloor intent.
